I'm tired of those arrogant British...
I'm consitently stupid- Japher
I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- NedTags: None

Re: I'm tired of those arrogant British...
The French are worse, though, just ask Belgians.
The Germans are worse than the French, just ask any Frisians or Dutch.
The Poles are worse than the Germans, just ask the Russians.
The Swedes are worse than the Poles, just ask the Evil Finns.
But the most arrogant, the most painfully up their own intestinal tracts without a proctologist in sight, or a friendly s.t.d. clinic nurse with forceps on hand, are the Swiss.
Just ask the Luxemburgers.Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.

"All we want is one little nod of affirmation, a pat on the back, a 'good job' for some of the things we've done as a country," said Matthew Prousalis, a customer-service agent for AT&T Wireless in Peoria. "Really, all it would take is a quick 'Thanks for inventing the first successful gas-powered automobile. Keep it up.' That's it. But no, nothing."The genesis of the "evil Finn" concept- Evil, evil Finland

How can they find crap like that funny?
Aside from a few Monty Python sketches, the British have no sense of humour at all, and can't do comedy.
'Waiting for God'? Nope. 'The Young Ones'? Nah, mate.
'Till Death Us Do Part' ? Not a chance, me old china.
Astonishing, then, that they should choose to remake 'Till Death Us Do Part' as 'All in the Family' in the United States, and there have been two unsuccessful retreads of 'Fawlty Towers' for American television.
And why do Americans like Benny Hill?
'The Americans made their own version of the show called All In The Family with the Alf Garnett character being renamed to Archie Bunker. The Germans also made a version and The Garnetts' became The Tetzlaff's!).'
'A changed format arrangement means that the 'theme' of the show is purchased. CBS will be free to write their own scripts and characters. The same has been done with other hit shows like Absolutely Fabulous, One Foot in the Grave and Cracker.'

We don't, to the best of my knowledge.
But evidently they did.Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.
