Have you ever seen Only Fools And Horses? That is more like it, although I don't think I could chose which comedy is the funniest. Believe me, Seinfeld is not in the offing whatsoever

Seinfeld was good, but thats because it had a core of British type misanthropy to it.

Seinfeld is extremely funny, in fact one of my favourite sitcoms. As is Cheers. Talking about which comedic tradition is better is ridiculous, cultural differences and all that

But being ridiculous is what Polytubbies do best!

If you want to mention a funny US series, how about Frasier.
...and then there's all those simply hilarious Belgian comedies

I'm on the side of 'comedy'. I'm on the side of 'art' and I'm on the side of 'freedom'.

                Friends is **** though.

Yes, Seinfeld is the greatest sitcom in history!

Of course it is . It is better than Monty Python, Blackadder, Red Dwarf and all those other British comedies. It is also the class of American comedies, so unless there is a super funny Swedish comedy show, it wins!

I somewhat agree with Sava. Best American sitcom ever. Can't think of my favourite British sitcom.

                      Anybody seen The Day Today?

I was once flying from New York back to Salt Lake.
They had a bunch of British programs on.

It was.....interesting, to say the least

Thank you GL...Imran, you've just demonstrated your ignorance...it is Red Dwarf...and you only managed to name two other comedies. Methinks you've never seen them at all really

                              Amen, Friends is utter gob****e.
