    Unemployed For Real This Time

    Well, my luck has run its course.

    I've been laid off for real this time.

    I wasn't cutting it as a PDA specialist project lead thingy, aka, no management skills, didn't allocate my resources well, and wasted time chasing red herrings. I knew I was floundering, but I didn't expect this.

    They decided they wanted to cut me while the project was still viable, and they still had a good impression of me (or that's what they said). They dangled the carrot of future employment if a web design position comes up.

    At least this half week counts as my first week for unemployment, and I start collecting benefits on Monday.

        Well, at least I have a paid vacation, courtesy of the State of Florida. Shame I can't go nowhere.

            It's a crap, but you'll get there. Mainly because you've now had managerial experience. You've just got to word your CV correctly

                    I'm sorry to hear that. But the plus is that you do qualify for unemployment which will help a little while you get back on your feet.
