I don't think management skills can really be taught. At least that's what I think based on the incompetent boobs with pieces of paper that I've worked for.

Work from home, you definatelly seem to have managerial qualities/skills on Poly, AKA being a top notch jerk.

              Cool avatar, Jam.

You know, everythng seems more okay after spending an hour floating in the pool. I may be taking a 75% paycut to be unemployed, but at least I have a swimming pool in a beautiful setting to enjoy, as well as the beautiful setting.

I also have a vacation I've already paid for coming up in two weeks.

Bunnygrrl's probably heading back to Chicago for the summer. She has a $16+ an hour job waiting for her there. That will definately help, though I'll miss her.

I can hang out more with my friend who has the beach house (though no more swimming in murkey oceans--two people were bit by sharks on the day we were at the beach, one about ten miles north, another ten miles south).

I'm looking at this as an oppotunity. I have time to learn some new skills, get the apartment cleaned, update some websites, etc. I'm making lemonaide, folks.

If your unemployed that would mean he has offered to pay you half of nothing?

Not if you continue to spell it "lemonaide". Yech.

Unemployment pays $275 a week in Florida for 26 weeks. I was getting $1200 a week, gross.

Let's put it this way. I don't want to work for my father. I don't want to work for Burger King. I don't want to move to Indianapolis. I'm a web designer and I want to stay in Florida if I can help it. Nor does unemployment require me to take a job that offers less than 80% of my former pay.

While it might make more sense in the short run to move north and work for BK, in the long run, I'm better off where I am.

I knew you were a commie, but a transplanted yankee, TOO?!? Although that does provide a better explanation for your heretical BBQ views.

Still, nobody should be made to live in Indy. Sorry to hear about that, che. If it's anything like my unemployed stint, you'll look back on it as a good thing.

I'm looking for work too, like pretty much everyone these days, so don't feel too bad.
