You know, everythng seems more okay after spending an hour floating in the pool. I may be taking a 75% paycut to be unemployed, but at least I have a swimming pool in a beautiful setting to enjoy, as well as the beautiful setting.
I also have a vacation I've already paid for coming up in two weeks.
Bunnygrrl's probably heading back to Chicago for the summer. She has a $16+ an hour job waiting for her there. That will definately help, though I'll miss her.
I can hang out more with my friend who has the beach house (though no more swimming in murkey oceans--two people were bit by sharks on the day we were at the beach, one about ten miles north, another ten miles south).
I'm looking at this as an oppotunity. Let's put it this way. I don't want to work for my father. I don't want to work for Burger King. I don't want to move to Indianapolis. I'm a web designer and I want to stay in Florida if I can help it. Nor does unemployment require me to take a job that offers less than 80% of my former pay.
