  • But the problem isn't corruption, or "not being in line with the population". The problem is the government needs a nearly constant stimulus to perform effectively. Even the perfect policy is fundamentally flawed if it remains in effect for longer than a certain time - or rather, there is no perfectly formulated policy, and so there must be constant flux in it, in order to stimulate debate. You otherwise result in a completley stagnant society.
