If you change your vote and vote for Bush, the terrorists win!

How is that? Explain that logic!

The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Well on the more direct level, because you've let their actions change your mind about stuff. Indirectly, because Bush is far less competent and will just feed the terrorists what they want.

Because bin Laden is sitting in a cave or hut somewhere smoking a bowl because our troops are in Iraq instead of getting him.

If Thorn wants to vote for Bush, obviously Bush is the wrong choice. Simple logic really.

You do realize that we have troops in BOTH Iraq and Afghanistan, don't you? We did not reduce our military operations in Afghanistan when we began operations in Iraq.

                This thread is just great.
the diplomat turning liberal (in comparison).

The comparison with Germany is bad though. Better compare it with Franco's/Germany's bombardement of Guernica, the Basque's Holy Site. Look how the basques still love Spanish...

The problem in this whole conflict are the emotions. Many Arabs were, in addition to their general distrust or hate on America appalled by the Torture pics. Some completely nuts guys then behead an American. We already knew that there are such idiots over there, capable of doing this, so what. If now, in reaction to this beheading, someone wants to change policy from "cruel" to "exceedingly cruel" it's exactly the same thing those terrorists are doing and what the torturers did.
"Those", "they all", "the arabs" - bull****. Applying collective responsability for atrocities is the most dangerous thing in history and still nowadays! Sure, antiamericanism and hate is widely spread, however this can't be a reason to run amok on the muslim world. This kind of hate is responsible for the maltreatments and the torture of guilty and completely innocent people thelike in Iraq - those poor guys you wanted to free from Saddam, remember?

THEY DID TAKE MONEY AND MANPOWER AWAY FROM AFGHANISTAN TO GO TO IRAQ

We should have more boots on the ground there... we SHOULD HAVE in late 2001 and 2002 when he had a good chance to get him.

                  Bush failed... yet again.

hey douche, would aq be there had we not invaded? we caused the whole power vacuum and infiltration of terrorists by destabilizing the nation.
