I dunno about anybody else, but it was in your first post that you raised my ire a bit...
[The guards'] suffering doesn't honour the dead soldiers.
It's one thing to say "The IDF honors their dead in a different way," but instead you questioned the very legitimacy of the practice. It's every bit as disrespectful as if you were to condemn any other sort of burial practice ("You cremate the dead in your culture? Well then, you're stupid/evil/dishonorable/whatever").

Well, I'm pointing out that people on all sides of the spectrum seem to be against you.

I didn't say that it was illegitimate, I just said that I don't consider it something appropriate. It's a question of personal taste, and culture.

I don't know.
I have personally no problem with these people being monk-like (if they wish to honor the dead this way, let them do), but I think Azazel has found a vicious and nervous opposition that only deserves thumb-downs

Because many, it seems, have a problem with reading comprehension, re: MrFun's not- understanding of why I, supposedly, have a problem with the tomb, and those who respect it.
The way Az is being villipended in this thread reminds me of the way I was treated a few days ago
