  • London 'Poly Meet Up, 8th May - Change Of Venue

Rich has done some, um, research, and apparentely the Moon Under Water on Charing Cross Road has become a poncy, overpriced Lloyds Number One bar.

So, a change of venue has been proposed.

I suggest the Shakespeare's Head (another large, cavernous Wetherspoons) on Kingsway. It's right by Holborn tube station and is pretty central. Details below:

    Short description

    Map

So that'll be 2pm, Shakespeare's Head, Kingsway, Holborn, 8th May, unless anyone has any great objections...?

Yep, my research is pretty accurate considering I am currently just sat across the road from the place. I shall go and reconnoitre the Shakespeare's Head shortly as I am absolutely bleeding starving

But a DL can't attend a meeting or write a dissertation of 10k words

I'll bet you've had DL's and still managed it

Well all I am saying is, you are a DL until you prove otherwise

We'll, the Shakespeare's Head would be fine, but isn't there another Moon Under Water owned by Wetherspoons close to the other one. I thought someone mentioned that last time?

Anywhere realtively cheap is fine with me

Yes, there's a Moon Under Water on Leicester Square, but it's very small, extremely busy, and (I think) comparatively expensive...

Slightly off topic, but will Iain be rotating his avatar to feature other publications by Mr Desmond?

I've been in the Shakespeare's Head a few times, the LSE student union around the corner is cheaper.
