Unless you plan on going after top Hamas leaders in Syria & Lebanon this action serves little purpose and is the equivilant of poking a bee hive with a stick.

You're dumb. Sharon is a stablizing factor and is needed.

Nope, but I loathe extremists from both sides with a passion. I want peace in this area, and that can only be done if the extremists are made irrelevant.
I would object the kill of a small fish, as it can only worsen the hatred with no tangible results, but the death of a hate-stirrer is good news IMHO.

Congrats Israel! One less terrorist leader to worry about.
'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"

Wrong.
What we did before (random assassinations of mediocre level leaders) was poking a bee hive.
The Hamas in Gaza is in bad shape now. No chief leadership.
And I can't comment any further.
I actually still can't see any IDF commentary - there are witness reports of a helicopter, but seems to be no official confirmation of it being an Israeli airstrike yet.
official confirmation on Israeli TV - 2 rockets fired on his car.
Well Sirot, they would be in bad shape because you guys keep killing their leaders heheheh. Good riddance, and I hope you all get rid of more of them.

How so? The link between the leadership abroad, and the one in the territories is lacking. They do money transfers, and arms transfers. They don't conduct operations on the ground, in Israel.

There's this wonderful thing called telecommunications. Perhaps you've heard of it. Now since the Hamas leadership residing in Syria & Lebanon seems to be safe from any sort of Israeli retaliation, I fail to see how the organization is adrift and leaderless.

Don't they have terrorist training camps? Or were those not Hamas's?

I have stopped talking about it, because I think the cycle of violence and hatred has pretty much reached full velocity.
