  • You know what the greatest danger is in Iraq today? Being shot by a trigger happy US soldier.
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

This much is true. But then, so do the French.
Oh, wait, they're on the other side this time. Never mind.

It was also "trigger happy" American soldiers that saved Europe from self-destruction in World War II.

It's not that. It's that they can play soccer with the locals and because they're Brits they will inevitably lose, thereby making the locals feel good.

No one likes the silly American games with a million rules. If you tried to explain the rules of American "football" to me, I'd have shot you before you got halfway through.

                  • No sorry - that was the Russians.

Don't change the subject. There are so many examples of ill discipline and shoot first.

You need some professionals in there.

                      • Sorry guys, AH is right. I've spoken to veterans of WWII, Korea, Vietnam and GW1 and all of them complained that US soldiers are trigger happy.

I don't know what it is that causes it, but you have been notorious for years for shooting first and thinking later.

WW1 - Turned up late after most of the shooting was over.

WW2 - Late again - but honorable mention this time (even though those godless commies did most of the fighting and dying).

Korea - Settled for a draw after throwing away a certain victory (was MacArthur a Cubs fan?)

Vietnam - had ass handed to you.

Grenada - invaded holiday resort, surprising guests.

                              Panama - ditto

Gulf War One - this one's a win. Marred by the fact that you shot more of your own guys than the enemy did.

Gulf War Two - will tell you when it's finished.

                              Mixed results?
