Not only was SMB3 one of the most fun games ever, but it was an utter sensation-the firt videogame ever to make as muh as some of the blockbuster movies of that year! Heck, they had 2 movies about that game (the awful Super Mario Brother's movie, and that one with the kid from the wonder years).
Doom, on the other hand, was nothing more than a sci-fi version of Wolfenstein 3D.If you don't like reality, change it! me

I'm Gepap here. Granted Doom was a milestone because it rocketed FPS to the vanguard of gaming, however SMB3 is one of those rare games that has never been surpassed in its genre.
