Re: the semantics, "pro-abortion" upsets the 'choicers because, in their own words, they find it icky. "Anti-choice," on the other hand, is not a good term because people reflexively respond poorly to "anti"-ANYTHING, and the idea of being denied any form of freedom, no matter what that freedom is, feeds a peculiar form of paranoid psychosis common to all democracies. If the issue were whether we had a right to choose to mug old ladies, the term "anti-choice" would still invoke a gut reaction. It's loaded language. So Pro-Life, Pro-Choice, let's play nice.

The "anti-" is slightly bad, but countered by the "terrorism" when the brain catches up and puts it in context. However, to use your example, you might as well be called "anti-choice" for wanting to take away the individual Wahhabist whackjob's right to carbomb an embassy. Never mind that from your POV, the aspect of "choice" is utterly irrelevant; you're still "anti-choice," are you not?

The abortion debate isn't about life or death. It's about whether or not a woman has a right to make choices about her own body. Plain and simple. The anti-choice people might say otherwise, but who cares? They are all hypocrits and religious whackjobs anyways. To us, it is the BEAST.

but we're not talking about wahhabi whackjobs (although I'm sure they are against abortion too), we're talking about abortion. "anti-choice" when referring to abortion is the truest description of those people. They are against women having a choice about their own reproductive system. Those people certainly aren't "pro-life" because they most often believe in the death penalty and are pro-war when it comes to Iraq. There are some people that are truly pro-life, but those are like Buddhist monks who think it's wrong to step on ants.
Of course they are pro-life - they are for the life fo the fetus. They don't have to be pro- ALL life (for example, people guilty of murder), just like you aren't pro- ALL choice (such as killing someone)

Then get UR to stop whining about the term pro-abortion.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara
For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

No, no... his continual whining is a sign of my successful troll“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

the only people who are truly pro-life are buddhist monks... everyone else is a hypocrit
DD: why? UR is right about that. Pro-choice advocates aren't pro-abortion necessarily. I think abortions are bad things, and in a perfect world, wouldn't exist. But this world isn't perfect, and I'd rather live in a world with abortions than in a world where a government, or some sanctimonious, holier than thou ******* can control a woman's body.
It just goes to show all those anti-choice people who claim to be for small government are hypocrits once again. I can't think of a greater abuse of government power than placing laws on a woman's reproductive system.
Why are our birthdays the day we get shoved out of the womb? Society recognizes that a human life starts when we are born. A pizza is done when it comes out of the oven, not when you first mix the dough. To us, it is the BEAST.

Then the only people who are truely pro-choice are nihilists and anarchists... everyone else is a hypocrit.
Therefore Pro-abortion and Anti-abortion are valid terms. Unless you want to use Pro-abortion-choice.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

skywalker, it's already been established that you are unable to think critically...
there are two kinds of people in this world... people able to think critically, are pragmatic, have an open mind, have a thirst for knowledge, and seek to understand things... and then there are the dopes.
Nothing that I can say will ever change your mind about anything... hence, my classification of you stands. To us, it is the BEAST.
