Yes... I enjoy it quite a bit. But proportionally, I don't spend that much of my time here. I hate people, but I enjoy the discussion which is why I love chatting online. If you ****ers piss me off... I just turn off my computer.

If fact... I think the greatest proponent of the seperation of church and state was Jesus Christ:
Give unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and unto the Lord that which is the Lord's.
funny how he specifically seperates the two... but Christians love to ignore parts of their own scripture that don't agree with their sick political agenda.

Christianity...(has become) the most perverted system that ever shone on man. ...Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and importers led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus.

It should be obvious at this point, especially seeing as how the religiuous are reacting so fervently on the issue, that the "Under God" phrase in the pledge has obvious religious connotations. This was made clear by McCarthy when his commity put the very phrase in and Senate had a big prayer to show disaproval.

But I'm sure the intellectual giants in Mississippi became great minds by not reading.

Well, you know what. Everytime this nation or any nation or any organization or any person, etc., spits in God's face like this they DO NOT experience God's blessings, but rather they experience His wrath.

So, if the Supreme Court ends up offending God by removing the words 'Under God' from the Pledge, all I have to say to America is, "Look out from above!"

                          HAVE A DAY.
<--- Quote by Former U.S. President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt
"And there will be strange events in the skies--signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And down here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. The courage of many people will falter because of the fearful fate they see coming upon the earth, because the stability of the very heavens will be broken up. Then everyone will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds with power and great glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand straight and look up, for your salvation is near!" --Luke 21:25-28
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. --1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

I think that the intent of the phrase "under God" is enough to throw the phrase out - as I understand it, Eisenhower wanted students to acknowledge God, right? Of course, that really isn't part of his job, nor is he even allowed to encourage it in an official capacity as President of the United States, which of course he did by signing it into law.

Can you back that claim with demographics or statistics?

Religionists use that reasoning to justify cramming their religion down the throats of everyone else.

But let’s see if that claim is true:

The most religious countries of the world (the Islamic countries) have a very low standard of living. The most religious states in the US (the Bible Belt) have lower standards of living, more crime, and far more divorces than the more secular parts of the country. In terms of individuals, the atheists and agnostics that I know are generally just as prosperous and probably more prosperous that the general God-believing population.

It looks to me that the people that piss in God’s face are doing far better than the believers. How do you explain that?
