Who can not get a direct train to Birmingham? I'd have thought everyone here could.. = easiest place for everyone to meet.

        I can't, I'd need three trains.

Who can't get a direct train to Dundee? Don't all the major towns have direct links to Dundee?

We're not talking from ****ty local stations..I could thus say it would take me four trains to get from Manchester to London

I'd take the mainline Hastings to London. Then I'd need to get across London and then to Birmingham. 3 trains minimum.

London is closer, and I have far more faith in GNER than Virgin Cross-Country.

                Birmingham is also a ****hole.

Yeah, I will go to London, as for me at this time, it will be the closest place to meet

Yes and no, I'd gone offline just before then.

I can't be doing with the hassle of getting all the way across London either so I don't think Birmingham is feasible. Dammit Stew, you can get to London easily enough...go on the A44 to the A40, and just follow the A40 all the way to Centrepoint, and you won't be far off where the meeting is

                          • Yeh, IMHO London seems to be looking best. It's also know to the people that went last time. Trains from the North, from Wales, from Bristol, from the Midland and from the South all seem pretty simple to get to London. Prices suck, but not that much in a Wetherspoons (like Moon Under Water is?).

                            • Yeah, we go for Wetherspoons so it doesn't cost too much...
