I think there is little doubt that Russia is going more authoritarian. My doubts are in the economical nature of the new regime. For me, it seems that the government is slowly encroaching on bussiness, not the other way around, as some would suggest. The upper bureaucracy has a very strong momentum going, still from soviet times. But the faces are new, and are sleek, and efficient. I wonder what would be the result of it all.

Serb, no one outside of Russia thinks that it is a democratic country. Wouldn't you think it's a sign of how efficient Putin's dictatorship is, that you believe he's a democratic leader?
