P.S. I doubt in US, you have such number of people who speak out against the government and blame government for almost everything.

Didn't he arrest the oligarchs? Didn't he beat those who were candidates against him?

No. I don't know how in USA, but in Russia, the president do not authorized to arrest anyone. Police arrest susspect here, not president. BTW, I never said Bush was much better than Putin. Open your eyes, dude. Everyone in the world knows that Putin has every media outlet by the neck and that they won't say anything against him. You wouldn't expect an ex-KGB leader to be terribly pro-democracy, wouldn't you?

My eyes are open. Those eyes watch Russian TV everyday. And I perfectly know what our media tells us. Two national chanels (RTR and Channel-1) are completely pro-Putin and shows mostly pro-Putin BS.
But, God damn it, we have more than 2 tv channels. Ren-TV for example is absolutely anti-Putin and shows mostly anti-Putin BS.

Well, if you guys want to believe in "Putin's dictatorship" and "Putin's suppression of all opposition", fine. Why should I care what you think? Your opinion will not change the fact that there is sh!tloads of opposition to Putin here. All candidats for presidency (perhaps the only exclusion is speaker of upper chamber of parliament) heavily criticized Putin during election compaign. Some of them went completely insane in their charges.
