It's true, though. That's why the Knightly class in Europe eventually collpsed...English Yeomen Longbows, peasents who just had a Longbow and leather armor (if that) destroyed the ultra-expensive Kinghts.

The same happened in Japan. Tokugawa banned firearms after he became Shogun, because he knew it would threaten his rule. (Guess what he used to assert his controll over the other Samuari at the begining of his campaign?)

No, it didn't. Japan and Europe aren't the same.

The Tokugawa did ban firearms, but they never enforced the ban and the daimyo never followed it. Functionally, nothing changed. Not what you'd expect if the Tokugawa (or the daimyo themselves) really feared a peasant revolt using firearms.

I could give you a list, but we've pissed DD off enough, I think. It certainly wasn't firearms, however, as any daimyo worth his salt had firearms by the time of Sekigahara. The examples of Nobunaga and Hideyoshi were more than enough to convince military leaders of the value of firearm-equipped foot soldiers.
