That good that you understand the difference.

Have you designed and built anything? Putting together Wintel boxes doesn't count, that's more of an assembly job than anything else.

      Yeah, many things.
In the summer I was the sole designer/software engineer for a small business who wanted to automate most of the administrative aspects of the business. It keeps track of customers, models, workorders, etc. It also has a Wizard where the user types in a bunch of measurements, with the type of stair he wants, and it'll generate cutting lists, material usage reports, etc.

Then in school we've done car rental management software, pay-at-the-pump gas systems, algorithmic music-genre classification, basic operating system (interrupt handling, driver development, basic multi-tasking, I/O, GUI), ADC, DSP, and DAC drivers, etc.

For hardware I've designed a VERY basic arithmetic engine in hardware (I refuse to call it a CPU...) and a DSP.

        • It's simply impossible to narrow it down to even three. There are far too many great debaters, with different strengths and styles.

Thus, I am left with no way to register my frustration but to vote:

          (1) Ned
          (2) Ned
          (3) Ned

The best debater ... in the entire Nedaverse!

I am assuming that I can give all three votes to one person, right?

                Too categorical.

Too "sophomore in college getting first taste of independence and smoked too much before coming to class and is starting to reshape world view based on limited amount of new knowledge" annoying.
Yeah, I SPECIFY that I am not Hobbesian, and that makes the debate 'CATEGORICAL'?

When you have a debate about rights of nature, you will almost certainly, in some way, be referencing Hobbes.

I also defy you to point out where it is that we pretended to change the world on the basis of a few chapters in some book.

Then again, I might say that you are an old bastard, who can't get a screw with any half-decent woman, and whose topic of interest is how familial subsidies will affect payment on your wife's car- but wouldn't that be too sophistic for you?
