Well I dunno about last season. I think the pickups this year are much better. Plus the biggest pick up of all... Joe Gibbs.

I know in the past you've had problems with making decisions that benefit your team. Do you remember a fellow by the name of Peyton Manning? I'm sure you've heard of him, as he's been one of the best QBs in the league since he was drafted. And I'm sure Ryan Leaf looked like a good QB, so I might be able to forgive that.

Schottenheimer was in the booth when the Chargers drafted Leaf. Beathard was the GM at the time, IIRC. And they couldn't have gotten Manning, Manning was picked #1 by the Colts.

I never heard of him before,

                  1) Fiedler is also going to be traded.
                  2) Griese is NOT the second coming of Elway or Marino
                  3) Dan Marino quit
                  4) Feeley is actually a good QB who has the potential to be a starter. Look at his 4th quarter stats, for starters. He'd never start at Philly because of McNabb, but could become a great player for the Dolphins. He can make the plays, and that's all he has to do with that good defense and Ricky Williams.

Apparently I have. That would explain the worms in my bed.

                      1) Fiedler to be traded also? First you wouldn't know by the chummy releases on the Dolphins web site. Dave W. claims he islooking forward to having him back this year.
                      2) Never claimed he was. I simply claim him better than Fiedler and a better draw for the Dolphins as it is an homage to his old man.
                      3) Marino quit? What are these mole like creatures doing in my home? Doh!
                      4) Feeley is a good QB? Maybe. And his potential as a starter describes the potential of Fiedler and Griese. The thought that they don't need a QB but can rely on defense and an excellent running back in Ricky Williams ahs gotten them how far. Same old mantra with above average but not excellent results.

The Cowgirls are all set to acquire Keyshawn Johnson but the trade can only happen if Joey Galloway comes to terms with the Bucs. Galloway wants 6.6 million. Bucs are offering 1 million. Go ahead and sit another year Keyshawn. Kind of hope the trade will happen though because it will be another reason to hate those Cowgirls.

Keyshawn won't be sitting another year. There's no way the Bucs are going to pay him his roster bonus, so if they can't get a deal done for him by April they'll release him outright and take the cap hit. (I also heard that Allen would be willing to deal Key for draft picks if Galloway continues to play hardball.)

Really?! I thought this was a great trade for the Skins. Portis > Bailey and 2nd rounder. I think Portis is a top 5 back even without the Denver O-Line. Hell, he's better than Davis. Great trade for both teams, who had disgruntled players they needed to get rid of.

Galloway wants 6.6 million. Bucs are offering 1 million.

                            That's quite a gap .

Galloway will come down. He has to realize that NO ONE is going to pay him that kind of money even as a free agent. I imagine they'll eventually settle on something in the area of $2.5-$3 mil, or at the most, something equal to what Key is getting from Big D (since, after all, they are being traded straight up).

And Imran: I think the reason why most people are claiming Denver made out better with this deal is durability - Champ's shown himself to be tough, while Portis hasn't made it through an entire season without injury yet. Plus, Denver does get that 2nd round draft pick, and if they strike gold with it, the sum does turn out to be better for them. I'm playing wait-and-see to see what Denver does with the pick and how Portis holds up in DC next year before I judge the trade either way. At this point, both teams are filling big needs, so I say they're both winners

You'd think so. Then again, this is Joey Galloway.

Portis hasn't made it through an entire season without injury yet.

Yet ran for 1500 yards even with injury . He's only played 2 seasons, IIRC. So getting minor injuries in both years doesn't show him to be not durable. And Bailey is overpaid (he ain't that great).
