Signed by Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs, John Manley, and US Homeland Security Director, Gov. Tom Ridge, the declaration involves a 30-point plan which implements, among other things, a "pre-clearance agreement" of people entering and departing each country.

Um, do a quick search on the Senate and House web sites for the resolutions. They are 1) being offered by Democrats (Hollings in the Senate, Rangel in the House), and 2) referring to a national service program of the like advocated by Kerry, one that does not require military service.

(2) by inserting `or herself' after `himself'; and

(3) by striking `he' and inserting `the person'.

But hey, they will let you finish high school (but enrollment in college is irrelevant this time)

SEC. 6. DEFERMENTS AND POSTPONEMENTS.

(a) HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS- A person who is pursuing a standard course of study, on a full-time basis, in a secondary school or similar institution of learning shall be entitled to have induction under this Act postponed until the person--

(1) obtains a high school diploma;

(2) ceases to pursue satisfactorily such course of study; or

(3) attains the age of 20.

Because those were the two bills the article relied on to say the draft was comming. Boris' post showed the basis for these claims are without merit.

yes, that's what the dem program is... that is seperate from the bush plan that has been floating around on the net.

That goes to "impeachable offences." Simply calling for a draft isn't an impeachable offence, so doing so in say February of next year won't immediately put Bush's butt in a political electric chair (though, I'd settle for a tazer or a cattle prod

). It'd have to be revealled OPENLY that his motives were grossly influenced by factors other than national defence and such. And that couldn't happen in a timely fashion; it'd be months...even years, before his alterior motives were revealled with verifiable documentation.

Why has he gotten away with so much so far? I'm at a loss to explain that, but I voted Yes in the Karma thread. It's just a matter of time...

Are you on crazy pills? The article and this thread were specifically about S 89 and HR 163. There was no reference to any "stealth" Bush plan whatsoever. So who exactly is bringing in irrelevant points here?

And just where is the floating Bush plan, and why should I believe in it any more than the 50,000,000 other rumors floating around the net?
