  • again, i refer to a previous point i made, somewhere. if you've got it, flaunt it. while y'all don't talk to these girls, it's pride, not insecurity that drives them to send the pictures. as for the relationship question, i've got specific criteria for that, and the only one that meets it is the mystery girl from the previous thread. truly she must be something special to get me to stop typing in italics.

but while i'm indeed looking for ms. right, i'm not going to stop having meaningless sex until i find her.

    • I agree with that, Self. But what if 'Ms. Right' doesn't like the fact that you are 'cheap' (for lack of better word, I'm in a hurry here)?

I met this awesome woman and she doesn't like guys who sleep around - uh-oh for me.

Not really. You should see the ones in Hollywood. They still wear all black, have the beards, etc.

We have those two. They're dwindling though.

True goth believes in the concept of inner beauty - that's why they wear black. To force people to put aside outside appearances and see inside them and see that inner beauty.

So theortically a goth can wear colorful clothes. It's all in the philisophy.

That's how I understood it anyway. I've also heard that Niel Gaiman's Death of the Endless is an inspiration for goths.
good lord, that's got to be the most insightful thing i've heard someone say about goth culture. in addition to that, music plays a very big role in the culture. what's sad is that there are kids going around these days that don't know who bauhaus and sisters of mercy are (classic goth bands). but i digress. i personally don't like to pidgeonhole myself with any one particular label. but if i were to do so, i'd tend to go for 'industiral/hardcore.'

Balls. We wore black because it meant that on a limited budget every item of clothing you owned looked OK with everything else. And because it's the best colour to hide in at night to avoid getting the crap kicked out of you by the Casuals. And because it's the best colour for not showing Snakebite stains.

You've been listening to the pretentious end of the market- probably an "All about Eve" fan.

                  Thanks, Self. I try.

And as for sleeping around, oh I definitely don't plan to tell her.
