Asher, give it a rest. You have better things to do, right?
I most certainly do not. It's a wednesday night in the middle of the week, and I've got the entire week off of school.

This is great for amusement value. It's like arguing with Creationists.

MS doesn't really innovate as much as they could. That's because they behaved like a monopoly and could care more about themselves than their customers.

You know, Apple started behaving this way after Steve Jobs left the company long ago. This led to Apple's downfall. Seems MS acts the same way and will soon suffer the same fate. Oh well. What comes around goes around.

Remind me again which company forced clone makers out of business?
When a company has such a small marketshare it can't afford such competition. When Apple grows to like 10-15% marketshare again, then they might be able to afford some competition in the Mac market, and that in turn should lead to lower prices and even higher innovation.
        HAVE A DAY.

"And there will be strange events in the skies--signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And down here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. The courage of many people will falter because of the fearful fate they see coming upon the earth, because the stability of the very heavens will be broken up. Then everyone will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds with power and great glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand straight and look up, for your salvation is near!" --Luke 21:25-28
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. --1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Hey! Here's an idea...perhaps the marketshare continues to shrink because people realize there's no competition in the market, and stay away because of the insane prices?

I aready argued that prices are coming down rapidly on the Mac lineup.

Oh and btw. Did you hear the latest news? The iPod is the #1 MP3 player on the market by a landslide despite the prices. Duh. Go figure.

Last I heard Apple had 33% of the market for MP3 players...

                Link this, please.

Oh, let me guess -- this is some obscure figure from a Mac fansite which counts the 100,000 preorders as one-day sales, and then a quick Apple PR release saying it's the #1 on the market by a landslide that day?

Oh, I get it now. Silly me.

Anywayz, it's the other way around. Behaving like a monopoly may make a company rich in the short-run, but in the long run it leads to downfall, so no, this is not a good "money-making" way to do bizness.

Apple behaves more like a monopoly than MS does. The only difference is, while most people are stupid, they're not stupid enough to be locked into a Mac.

Apple has monopolistic control over its software, hardware, and sales.

Hey, what do you know. More idiotic arguements from you that I've already contradicted.

If I make serious reply to this, you will see what I mean by you making these debates go around in circles.
