No, but the dope fiends are big eaters.

And the initial worrying signs are that he is moving in the wrong directions with the composition of the squad. I argued last Sunday that it might be time to get really radical – given Clive just got his worst ever placing in the 6N I think it is perfect timing to sweep away the dead wood and bring in real youth – the Woods, Ellis and Smiths of this world.
But it's a decision that requires not only judgement but a real eye for potential, looking for players who - in terms of the next World Cup - are three years away from their best. Your suggestion a few weeks ago about blending is right - providing the experienced heads kept for the process are (a) earning their keep, and (b) the right people to teach.

At my most cynical I almost think Clive wanted everything to fall apart so he had carte blanche to clean house after the tournament. But would he be that stupid?
He's being tested. And is he up to it?

It was Dominici who got carded in the semi incidentally – and he seems to be yesterdays man now. What did he do this tournament except drop the ball over the try line?
Actually, I thought he retired after the World Cup.

In all this though lets not get carried away – England are in absolute disarray and yet still came within three points of a very good French side in Paris.
Discovered hyperbole on your haunches in the airport dunny, hm?

      • The big question is was Finbar’s birthday Tuesday or Wednesday?

In absolute disarray? May be are you exaggerating a bit
        A tiny bit.

But when a team loses the best lock in the world and replaces him with a young Bath chump – and the coach breaks up the best back row forward combination in the world deliberately right before we are due to face the second best combination in Paris, and then our entire front rwo seems suddenly more interested in pies than playing - I would say “disarray” fits the bill quite nicely.

I prefer to think, and you know how honest I am, that the English players were peharps overwhelmed by the skill, power and talent of the French players for one hour.
How is the medication going by the way?

Amstel and 1664? Refined and sophisticated? Hmmm?

I forgot to mention I had my first drink on arrival in the “Frog and Rosbiff”. A nice little drop called ‘Inseine’ (get it?). What you lads forgot to tell me is that to walk to the F+R from the Gare du Nord takes you right through Prostitute alley – or did we take a wrong turn?!!

I think we did most bars around the mile radius of Moulin Rouge and Sacre Couer (Strange how close those two things are?) but we watched the early games on Saturday in O’Sullivans next to the Moulin Rouge – then went to the game where it all went downhill. The Parisiens almost know what Irish bars should be like - but the real ones have more toilets.
It is better to keep silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt

Not only are you posting from work but you are also so iddle at work that you have the time to study the profile of your fellow posters. Isn't your company looking for a native French speaker?

Fine thank you, I think I will have a permission this week-end. Why?

These are the beverages the bartenders keep in stock for the poor strangers visiting our beautiful country.

I can't tell you, I only know Toulouse's Frog and Rosbiff.

Now I can understand the importance placed in toilets...

This is all you deserve when you live in a backwater country.

              • It is a backwater as far as rugby is concerned. No 6 nations either!

If the articles I have read are accurate, the USA should improve quickly... as far as Rugby is concerned of course.

I have read that the national Rugby competition is gathering an increasing audience and that it has already attracted some big sponsors.

                    All day Tuesday!

Sounds to me like a round about way of acknowledging England were a one man team, and, without that man, they're rooted.

Phil Waugh is now out of the Waratahs team with a shoulder problem. Carlos is probably back for the Blues, but Caucau is out for the season with, I think, a shoulder problem, but Rokococo is, I think, back. On balance, the Blues have the better of the injury comings and goings.

Yes, while I like Caucau's speed and strength, I think the Blues missed Carlos more...and it's not like the Blues are short of strong, fast wingers.

Auckland and Waikato (actually Auckland and any other part of the country ) have a pretty healthy rivalry, so this will give the Blues another reason to beat the Waratahs. Losing to a team the Chiefs beat the week before is out of the question!

Unfortunately it was in the famous Midi Olympique a few weeks ago, I don't know if I have kept the newspaper.

But it is indeed a good news for the american Rugby.
