    Hey guys,

    Ming approved this thread title.

Here's a link to our old thread: http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...hreadid=106943

Have any of you been watching the sevens? I'm watching the LA sevens live right now.

    Rather familiar-sounding title.

Didn't actually get a chance to see any of the last round - although I did manage to catch the news about Samoa beating England.
I guess that's what happens when you put too much emphasis on forwards.

Apparently we thumped both the Canadians and Aussies but had a pretty tough matchup against one of the other island nations, don't remember which one atm.

It was Fiji. We only just scraped past them after the hooter went.

No, we have some Rugby to watch in our blessed Northern Hemisphere.

I think this is another encouragement for the All Blacks to come back to Rugby.

Along with the infamous we can call this a trademark.

Pfff... get an original thread title, Cali

So, Frozzy packed up his tent and wandered into the desert for the lonely time that is European rugby. But now the Super 12 is soon to start, the tent has returned

erm...I didn't think we had actually used this one before. I know it has been suggested before, but I thought we were afraid to use it for fear of the thread being closed.

I'm sure Finbar can clear this up with a quick glance through his archives.

How can I know? I have no idea what's been going on over there in the lead up to these matches.
Mainly Scotland’s chances had been ridiculously exaggerated because of their new SH coaching team – and the optimism proved rather false. Wales were poor, Scotland were simply awful. Such a shame therefore that the deep irony of my ‘backing’ them was lost before the game.

And for the record there is zero chance of any get of mine being allowed to follow S*****.
I think you'd be better to let them learn about it at school in Ancient History. Somehow, if something is written down, it has a feeling of credibility.

Still, it puts you one up on Havak. He was happy if his hooker didn't mistake him for the beer keg and try to yank the tap.
                            Now there’s a horrible thought!

*sighs heavily, depressed by flipside's literal reading of the post*
                            Context is a killer.

Still it’s nice to know everyone appreciates a good anti-English comment every now and then.

Wales played a bit with their backs (they have at least one good winger)
Rhys Williams? Very good little player that one. Should have been English.

But we really should talk about the state of Scotland under their new Aussie-Kiwi coaching team.

                            Anything but Australian.
                            English?

So, Frozzy packed up his tent and wandered into the desert for the lonely time that is European rugby. But now the Super 12 is soon to start, the tent has returned
It must be quite hard for you to re-adjust to the corned beef of Super 12 after the Prime steak of European Rugby then?

Now is it me or has this thread deliberately not recorded the result for England’s scratch line up in Rome?

Well let me correct that then.

                            England 50
                            Italy 9

Italy have a fantastic work ethic these days under Kirwan but they lack a little tactical awareness. They lost several scoring opportunities after getting behind our defence because players didn’t offload – or even look to do so. Even so they are quite capable of beating the Scots and maybe even Wales…

Of seven tries only one was scored by a forward – and ironically that one should have been disallowed. Not only did the young Sale player steal the ball from inside an eyetie scrum he also dropped it in the act of grounding it.

And the other point of note – yet another new addition to the long line of poor Bok refs that shouldn’t really be allowed in the Six nations. I mean – truck and trailer – he was lucky to get out of the stadium alive after saying that awful SH expression (in mitigation the one time he pinged us for it he was right but that’s neither here nor there now is it?).
It is better to keep silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt

I'm sure it's just you. Undoubtedly it was the confusion of the sudden adjustment to a new thread that let that one slip.

                              Hmm. They don't allow a size=0.
