Now there's the real story. It is a proven fact, cause a caller said so on Rush Limburger's show, that good, hard-working Republicans are being lured to special golf clubs where they are brain-washed to vote for Kerry.

The brain-washing techniques are the same used by the Vietnamese! Bogus.com has interviewed the wife of one of these poor victims is quoted as saying: "He was a normal gun-toting, SUV-lovin husband until he went to that club. Now, he's a drug-smoking, sex fiend, bleeding heart Democrat."

Is the media covering this? No! It's another example of the media's liberal bias.

    • Tingkai, good post!

On Friday, a gun-toting, SUV-driving republican bigot who hates Kerry's guts.

On Saturday, attends the John Kery school of persuasion, golf and Swiss bank account maintenance.

On Monday, the same Republican is now a Democrat and says that John Kerry is the best person on earth and that he will vote for him.

      You got it.

      • Respond to me, Ned. Where is the evidence for Kerry's "affair?"

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]"
I kept that passage in mind when I made my statements. Yes, even that statement, contradicted by other reports saying that the statements were actually made by Clark aids, does not at least in of itself offer any real proof of anything. It certainly doesn't names, and especially as an off the rocord statement without context, is not necessarily anything more than wild speculation. (A couple of aids could even have no real evidence suggesting this and were stating it as wishful thinking since such an occurance would have given the Clark campaign at that time new life.)

Unless we get a specific name, or specific details that can be independantly verified the "close friend" statement doesn't mean much. The glaring problem right now is that its vague enough that no-one can prove whether this statement by Drudge is true or not in addition to the fact that other individuals need to examine the story and determine whether its credible. (Is the person actually a close friend, and does she have a history of making stuff up to get attention?)

Since when have Republicans ever been a model of consistency?

Considering the source of the initial quote (Brit muckraking tabloids known to outrightly make things up), I'd say the consistency problem will be shown to be Drudge and his "sources."

Actually, both UR and I brought up the new AP story about the family denials several pages before you said anything, and I provided a link then.

KERRY MYSTERY WOMAN DATED CAMPAIGN FINANCE CHIEF

                        **Exclusive**

A woman at the center of John Kerry intrigue dated longtime Kerry Finance Director Peter Maroney, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

When pressed by media outlets in recent week, the Kerry campaign confirmed the relationship, according to top sources.

Alex Polier on Monday denied "Internet and tabloid rumors relating to me and Senator John Kerry."

Rumors swirling around Polier ignited a behind-the-scenes campaign drama.

As first reported in this space, a serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST, THE HILL and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

TIME magazine's Tim Burger and ABC NEWS have developed intriguing elements to the case, sources reveal.

She would joke that she was dating the next president of the United States, says a source.

Polier's flippant remarks and flirtatious manner, according to friends, fueled the intrigue.

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments. "This guy is going to blow up. Have you seen the NATIONAL ENQUIRER story" [on Kerry's womanizing].

The Kerry commotion is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, campaign sources said.

                        • So Clark actually said: "This guy is going to blow up. Have you seen the NATIONAL ENQUIRER story" meaning Kerry will be royally pissed off.

And Drudge turns the quote into: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue."

Another fine example of journalism ethics.

But of course this is a Liberal media plot designed to make Republicans look like absolute idiots. The woman, afterall, was a freelance journalists so that means she must be a liberal because all journalists are liberals, especially the ones working for Fox News.

Just remember, no matter what happens, the Liberal media are always to blame.
