Bush Economic Report Praises 'Outsourcing' Jobs

Bush Says Sending Jobs Abroad Can be Beneficial

I think that's all she wrote. No matter how they try and spin this, it's gonna alienate American workers, blue and white collar, who are fearing for their jobs. What an idiot.

What's wrong with sending jobs overseas, if doing so will increase profits? What else would be the point of business, if not to maximize profits?

The loss of work to other countries, while painful in the short term, will enrich the economy eventually, his report to Congress says.

What you were looking for wasn't found. Maybe we can help you figure out where to go.

Floyd and Drake don't get it. Typical. You think for one minute American workers give a crap about rich people getting richer if they're in jeopardy of losing their jobs and homes and having to work as a pizza delivery person? Right. Oh yeah, well, I've lost everything, but at least Disney is more profitable than they already were.

This is the numer one issue in the election, and Bush just handed it to Kerry on a silver platter.

By the way, I do rather like this quote from the Seattletimes article:

"When they say, 'We're going to repeal Bush's tax cuts,' that means they're going to raise your taxes, and that's wrong."

If you want to talk about losing elections, let me see a Democrat come out and be honest about wanting to raise taxes

From a shareholder's perspective its good, from an employees perspective its bad. From an economy viewpoint its bad as well as money is flowing out of the country.

                  Bush is an honest crook.
                  But this could backfire.

Outsourcing is all part of business.

But 'true-blue' Americans might get militant if it looks as if the mighty USA is giving jobs to 'them foreigners'...

But all Dubby has to say is:
"Out-sourcing is the way to defeat TERROR-RISM!"

                  Bingo! Instant voter compliance!

You're absolutely right. Most American workers don't care about freedom, and would welcome the opportunity to legislate against a business's freedom to outsource labor. Doesn't make it right.

Lest one forgets, though, conservatives don't care about freedom, either, so don't waste your time bringing up examples of Bush and Ashcroft being authoritarians. Duh.

Please give a link that can verify this statement (one that is not biased). Otherwise it is just the number one issue for YOU, not everybody. It doesn't effect me. Hell, it could actually increase my job security.

Bush didn't lose the election, because the whole focus will be on Iraq, homeland security and abortion / gay marriage during the campaign. No matter how the democratic candidate will try to shift the focus on employement and quality of life, the media will prefer talking about gay marriage and war, because it sells.

Freedom in the "lack of coercion" sense, at any rate.

That's what they will be talking about. But it won't truly affect the voting habits of average Americans. They are more concerned about their jobs and welfare. This is what is truly important to them, and thus the smarter criterion to vote on. Oddly, the only people who really vote based on a candidate's views on gay marriage or abortion are pseudo-intellectuals and the fanatically stupid.
