  • Mozilla Firefox v0.8 is out!!!

Ok, so the name is ridiculous... come on, Firefox? What's next? Firechicken? Firebanana? (hmmm...)

I'm using it now, and this thing is fast... even more so than Firebird 0.7. Maybe others don't notice it, but to me pages are noticeably faster to load.

However, their forums are down due to heavy traffic and I needed to download my copy from a mirror site -- their ftp is slooooow now.

Is anyone here using Firefox (this name... argh!)?
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

I've been using Firebird 0.7 and then the nightlies, and now I'm using Firefox 0.8. It gets my endorsement.

They changed the name because Firebird is an open source database that existed before the browser. I kinda like it as Firefox.

Damn... Mozilla must be backed up... I can't DL it from there.

I really like the new logo too.

Firefox is up there with Apache as a quality open source software product.

Strange - no problem here - blazed at 250KB/s.

I had lots of trouble downloading it at 3am MST last night. It's really fast once it connects, but it was a ***** to connect to.

                    Oh yes....!!!

A really nice job. I think this is going to become my default browser... until the new Camino comes out.

They've made it fit in quite nicely with OS X's default theme.

                      ME LIKE!

It IS faster (believe it or not). Some of the minor problems with Firebird (with displaying of attachments, etc) seem to be solved.

I only want to see Extensions back up so I can get hand gestures back .

I thought Safari was the be-all and end-all of browsers.

MS has let IE decay without updates. Shame on them.
