Metallica's S&M is great. Don't care too much for anything else of theirs.

And yes, people who denounce popular music because it's popular are idiots.

I listened to MB20 way before they were remotely big and were known as Tabitha's Secret and basically played low-fi folk-rock, which I introduced many of my 'friends' (high-school friends) to. Suddenly they sell 23+ million albums and they're the lamest thing since Martha Stewart rapping.

        LOL!

Whiny, spotty kids would be eating their crowbar before they had a chance.

        Actaully they did suck.

I was there in the 1980s to see them devolve into Slim Whitman territory!

As are insult-hurling people who cannot abide others having an opinion, eh, Asher?

So I suppose people who claim their music is better than someone else's are better, then?

Oh, they can have an opinion, it just so happens it's their opinion that makes them an idiot.

I find the whole indie-"what's popular sux0r" attitude insulting in the first place.

              I'm reminded of another song...
              Does it make you indie?
              Does it make you proud?
To talk the world into a paper bag
spotty stain of "I'm ok, you're not ok"

                But who claimed that?

                Quotes please.

I find that people who are quick to call others idiots, tend to be the biggest idiots of all.

Just an observation from years of surfing.

Perhaps they're not idiots, just quick to judge people as idiots who are so blatantly idiotic.

I also find people who get unusually defensive about being called an idiot as perhaps hurt because it's hitting too close to home. This is an observation from years of wakeboarding.

The people who are quick to call others idiots because they're idiots are usually right.

Perhaps these people have not a clue what they talk about, as neither the misguided apologists who defend them.
