Do rightwingers despise women?

I have noted here, and in real life, that generally rightwingers have a problem with women.

Firstly they do not allow women to have control over their own bodies.

Secondly I was surprised to learn that pornography was in my country introduced by a conservative government. Is this true elsewhere in the Western world?

Generally the more conservative the country the later universal suffrage was introduced. Switzerland is the obvious example.

Still even in the most progressive countries women earn less than men.

In many cases the intellectual integrity of women is questioned.

So in more general terms do you think that feminism is a good cause? I have trouble in understanding the anti-feminist stance of the right. Please explain.

The problem isn't with right-wingers having problem with women, it's just that they look bad in comparison to lefties, who are gay and get along very well with women.

Since conservatism is about remaining in the "way it has always been done", or at best is about departing from it as slowly as possible, it's obvious the conservatives are more keen to the old status quo making women inferior to men.

But even though conservatives tend to have passeistic views on the role of women in society, it doesn't mean they are worse than leftists when it comes to dealing with women individually. I've seen quite a few leftists feeling no shame in letting their wives do all the house chores

Feminism is a good cause. And everybody who understands what the feminists have brought to society since WW2 will agree with this statement.

Now, today's feminism, especially in America, is often excessive, picks the wrong fights, and is more of an annoyance than a progress. It is widely self-centred on middle-class rebellious women, rather than being a force to remove women's suffering where it really exists.

Yes but this thread is about (mostly) male politicians and religious leaders treat women. How socities generally treat women.

I'm thinking of everything I've ever read on today's feminism in America. I'm thinking of these middle class student girls falsely claiming to have been raped, ruining the future of the accused man. I'm thinking of these cretins who assimilate any form of flirting to sexual harassment, which results in wrecking loads of people playing a harmless game (and also, thus blurring the difference between flirt and real sexual harassment).

In Europe, I'm thinking of the women creating a new sexism, called "gender mainstreaming". Besically, these feminists want that each and every law takes the specific situation and "mentalities" of women into account. Wtf? Are we supposed to write in the law that men love football while women love clothes?
