    Liar!

Finbar considers himself as being somehow in exile, a kind of stranger in a strange land. Imagine the misfortune, he is a fan of Rugby and he is born in the Southern Hemisphere. Too bad!

    • I just saw France beat Ireland. Elissalde was very impressive. A great scrum half. Fast on the ball, releases it very fast letting for a fluid game. Nice little try too. No doubt Yachvili will stay on the bench for the next matches now. Now to Wales/Scotland...

      • France 35 - Ireland 17.
        Wales 23 - Scotland 10.

France played better thanks to a better scrum half and stronger backs. Brusque at full back was very good, and I already mentioned Elissalde.
Wales/Scotland was... well... Wales-Scotland. Wales played a bit with their backs (they have at least one good winger), both teams used decoy runners, but Scotlad was mostly bad. It's almost miraculous that they managed to score a try. They spent so much time in the Welsh half without being able to look remotely dangerous I thought they'd never manage it. They seemed unable to play together, even though their pack was quite strong. Pitiful. Looks like Italy has a good chance of winning a match this year.

        • Good summary of the games LDiCesare, about Mister Jean-Baptiste Ellissalde I can only say that I am convinced he should play in the French team since a long time. First, he is playing alongside Frédéric Michalack and second, he was a Fly-Half before becoming a Scrum-Half. Frédéric and Jean-Baptiste can thus switch places at every moment which is IMO a great advantage. Among the four tries scored by the French team, note that three of them were scored by the Toulousains of the team: Vincent Clerc, Jauzion and Jean-Baptiste Ellissalde...

          • Hey guys.

Sorry to have disappeared for so long. My life has been crazy lately. Here's what's been going on in my life lately:

            - Been interrogated by the FBI and pressured to take a polygraph for a crime (theft) I had nothing to do with. Felt like I was in a bad TV Cop drama.

            - The theft occored at my work, and my department is being collectively punished for it even though it was through no fault of our own. We are being treated like criminals yet still are responsible for inventory.

            - Went through an interviewing process for a much better (and better paying) job as the #1 candidate only for the company to decide to put the jobs on hold for now. Arrgghh!

Heh, well it just goes to show how cliched the mindgames they used on me are.

An objective admirer of Toulouse would have say :

But I possibly overestimate the influence of objectivity in this thread ...

I am all the more objective when I am talking about my dear old Stade Toulousain, the greatest team in the history of the French Rugby... and I am equally objective when I am talking about my dear old Toulouse, the most beautiful French city, that which immediately qualifies it as the most beautiful town in the world and thus of the universe...

But we are talking about the game of Rugby here and Rugby is a matter of passion, how do you want us to be objective?

All right, but just this once.

Until it trailed off into the usual drivel.
