      again...

Allende was in the process of seizing control of the gov't anyway what with his paramilitary training facilities and his massive stockpile of weapons.
at worst, you can say that Pinochet and his fellow military leaders were a second evil who happened to act a few weeks before Allende did. Chile would've had a marxist dictatorship rather than a fascistic one if it weren't for the Chilean military coup.

          1. Holocaust
          2. Genocide against Native Americans

Those two really stand out in my book.

The specific and systematic targetting for eradication of a certain (quite sizable) specific cultural and etnic group, is the worst human kind has to offer.

Of course, there have been many other etnic genocides, but at the moment I can't think of any with a similar scale and impact. (Stalin's purges were of a different nature).

            And the holocaust of communism.
Stalinism. Communism is far too varied to generalise as such, i.e. libertarian communism.

Btw, ~30 million people died during the Taiping Rebellion so that has to rank way up there.

Yes, the wrongs of slavery were worse than the Holocaust. Especially seeing how it lasted for centuries and killed far more than the Holocaust.

the killers are all dead, died in prison for their crimes, the families of the victims have received reparations,it is recognized as a crime, ect ect.

So that makes it all better?

i dont know what yall two are fighting about but, while this is not specifically the fault of the CSA but rather just about every western european and american nation, the institution of slavery enslaved and killed more africans than nazi germany enslaved and killed jews though, of course, slavery lasted for centuries as opposed to the three year reign of the holocaust (pre-1942 Germany had something more like aparthied and not downright killings and enslavement).

How is it varied? In the number of millions that die because of it?

Exactly. The Confederacy was continuing the disgusting practice of slavery.
