  • Can you cook?

A pretty simple question. Do you like to cook? Are you any good at it? With the number of single geeks here, I'm guessing the number of amateur chefs may be pretty low, but then again, cooking is a hobby well-suited to geekery. Maybe I'll be surprised.

As for me, I do like to cook. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty good at following recipes and the results are never inedible and sometimes are quite tasty. For example, I just got done eating a Japanese chicken and cabbage dish that I made myself and I'm pretty sure I orgasmed at least once during the meal. Now to try it out on the fairer sex...

So, let's hear from all you culinary masters out there! Chop, chop!

I like to cook, and usually my cookings are not harmfull to the health of the individual who eats my cookings.
I'm not a complete idiot: some parts are still missing.

I like to cook whenever I'm not alone at the meal. My food tastes quite correct, although I lack imagination, and although I have no basics in many fields.

So, "alright" it is, but I'm far from mastering the art

Don't like to cook (well I do sometimes)
I'm good at it, then again, I'm no geek and neither an amateur.

                  I can make a decent pork-in-plum sauce.
                  I don't like to though.

Yup. To give you an idea, last nights effort was Chicken Cordon Bleu (w. Ricotta & Provalone/Prosciutto San Daniele) in a light dijon/Parrano breading, browned in butter, which was reserved (and added to for the sauce.)

The accompanying sauce was a Sauvingnon Blanc (2002 Villa Maria)/Mountain Gorgonzola Mornay.

                      Served over yellow rice.

My wife and I loved it.

I enjoy cooking; that I do it well is just an added bonus.

Yeah, I'm also quite good at it.

Don't do no fancy ****e though.

                            Cooking skills?
The only thing I can manage to do right is Spaghetti...

Thank God it's easy to put some pre-made meal in the microoven, and have it done in 5 minutes
This space is empty... or is it?

I love cooking. Probably my favorite part of the holidays is preparing some special meals.

I only wish I had a bigger and better equipped kitchen.
