But so what? It would be stupid to claim that philosophers know them better than you or physicists/mathematicians in general. What I meant to say is that the axiomatic approach is a subject of study within the framework of philosophy too. In fact, there are certain subtle points that are best discussed precisely within this framework. That's why philosophers tend to be rather clued on this matter.
