Stefu,
Great thread - i agree completely what you say. But there's just one thing: the song by Jonna Tervomaa is not by her, it's very old song. So don't blame her about the bad lyrics... well okay, you can blame her (she has other bad lyrics too - even though her music is sometimes ok.)
And really; some german mags refer rasmus as GOTH band??
Well, they have this one video where the singer wears quite a lot of makeup. Perhaps the man who did the rewiev only saw the video without sound...
Luckily there are some decent bands also... but they are very few...I'm not a complete idiot: some parts are still missing.

Don't forget "yamma, yamma"! I heard that song once on the Eurovision Song Contest when I was a kid. It made a lasting impression and how many Eurovision songs do that? I even remember it recieved a total of three points, all of which I think came from Stockholm.

Nightwish is good though. Do like me: only listen to Nightwish, and believe the Finns all produce superior music"I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident

Yeah, we have Nightwish. And CMX, too, though CMX is not known to foreigners. A pity, that - they kick ass.Concrete, Abstract, or Squoingy?

Who's the one, who sings the finnish version of "That don't impress me much" by Shania Twain? **** ****!!!
It's fun to be working in a library, and the **** comes from the intercom, and You Can't Turn It Off!!!
Something about "Kevyttä kuplivaa" cost me a tooth today...
But I hear, that the "Eläkeläiset" is quite popular in Germany???
One modern finnish song I enjoy is "Stressman" by Jope Ruonansuu...
But in general, there hasn't been any good finnish music since Sibelius died... Atleast not original.
Rappers should be shot/neutered before they reproduce!I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

True. Finnish people are meant to METAL! Finnish are born with talent to make their distortion guitars scream and double bass drums thunder so that the sky will start burning and cry blood! BLOOD I SAY!
And this, o brothers and sisters, is where the Finnish people excel.
and/but all the other Finnish music is Crap.
