  • Yeah I know Sloww.

It is true that we in the west (not a US bash) have blood on our hands too. Co-defendants maybe?

For this reason I was surprised he was taken alive ("he tried to resist - honest!")

End result will be a conviction for SH, but will there be some embarrassed gov's around the world?

    • What did you think, that he was our hero? A dictator helped by evil USA, evil USSR and Mitterands corrupt adminstration? I dont think so.

I really like the way you didn't say "Evil France", too.

Good to see that genocidal monster brought to justice.

I'm doubtful of whether it will really cut down on the resistance, however. The Arab Nationalists that drive it have long since abandoned Saddam as the cause for rebellion. Now, it's all about prevent Shia rule.

                • I'm not going to celebrate this when he was killing millions of kurds with the support of those who now captured him.

good thing he's gone of course now some others need to follow in his footsteps.

I have visions of the US being sadistically bombarded the liberators entering the white house and checking the teeth of an unshaved bush.

                    • don't you kind of feel sorry for Saddam Hussein? No I'm not trolling. He just looks so sad in that picture. Once the leader of one of the world's largest armies, and now reduced to hiding in a pit accross from one of his former palaces.

                          • At the time of Gulf War I, Iraq had the 4th or 5th largest army in the world.

And no, I can't say I feel sorry for him. Just think of the terror he caused so many--he's due now.
