                Well first, if u are using Celsisus or Far., they are not measuring Absolute temparture.
                That would be like measuring distances in inches and putting the 0 at 10 inches so 8 inches is -2 inches.
                And the say that 12 inches (2 in our scale) is twice as long as 11 inches (1 in our scale) because 2*1=2
                To be able to do multiplication, you need an absolute scale.
                So In Kelvin, you can say that 10 degree is twice the temperature that 5 degree is.
                Now it depends how exactly you would define cold. To answer the question, but in any case you need an absolute scale of measure for it to mean anything.
