My tastes in beer tend to be more exotic then what they have on tap but with 150+ choices I'm sure I can find something. The Chimay Blue Label is vintage dated so I'm surpried they don't have the Vintage listed. That's kind of like a restaurant saying they have Dom Pernion but not telling you the year.

BTW if anyone wants to come they have about six hours to speak up.

Kinda long trip for a few beers. I drink the beer right where I am.

Drink one for me and I'll drink one for you.

I sent PMs to a few of the polytubbies who live here in San Diego. Can anyone think of anyone else besides MtG, Devilmunchkin, Lonestar, Lawrence of Arabia, and myself? I feel sure I am forgetting somebody.

Is that Scooby-doo's sh@ggy look-alike with the nice girlfriend still around SD? What's his name again? You know the Photoshop freak? Or did he move back to the inland for a new college semester?

Edit: Why did I get **** to cover the sh@g in sh@ggy?

Hope you have fun. Out of SD area this weekend, and I got a story to tell about it, maybe. I'll have to think about whether or not I want to post it.

Too bad your leave ends on the 1st, I'd have had next weekend off. Oh well...

Note to self: Next time when meeting fellow polytubbies in a bar filled with hundreds of strangers make sure to have a picture of the person/people you are planning on meeting. Either that or arange for some way to identify each other by telling what each person will be wearing ahead of time.

I spent two hours walking around hlding a sign which said :Looking for Michael". I had numerous people ask if I was gay, however, I never did find MtG. I called his cell phone three times, left instructions with the hostess and the bar tenders, plus I randomly asked a bunch of people if they knew anyone named Michael or had heard of Apolyton. In the end it was to no avail as I never found MtG.

The really crappy thing is I believe he was in the bar at the right time but the place was to big and it was mobbed with people so it made it near impossible to find each other.

                  Damn, sorry about that!

Oerdin - I never made it across. Today and tomorrow are the worst days of the year for the border crossing, and second worst is next weekend because everyone down here gets yearend bonuses right after December 1st.

Border crossing times were 2.5-3 hours, and that's just to get through, so I figured the earliest I could have gotten there was about 8:30.

I couldn't get through from my US cel phone, so I sent you an email and then tried to call a few times from here, but got one of those "all circuits are busy" long distance messages a few times, or calls just didn't go through.

I'm sorry I missed you, especially when you had to go through the humiliation of holding up a sign. When you get back in town, I'll hold the sign and the beers will be on me.

No problem. The place ended up being to crowded and to noisy to talk any way. I remember you saying that finding a baby sitter for your son might be difficult so I totally understand. I'll just have to catch you in a year and a half.

I was talking to a cutie who just so happens to work at the San Diego office of my former employer. She'd just transfered back after spending three years in Australia. Her friend was even cutier but it's not like I could switch off once I'd already started talking to one of them.

I didn't try for any phone numbers (what's the point I leave tomorrow) but it did help to pass the time while I was waiting for you.
