    My boss does it with an internal GSM modem, just a little card with an antenna attached. But it will probably cost you a couple of 100 $ or so (the hardware, I mean).

        I have enough bonus miles on my frequent flyer card to get to LA for free, then it's just a 30 minutes commuter flight to SD. But I guess my wife would have second thoughts about that.

            Bonus miles is the expression in both British and American language. In Sweden, it is called bonus points, and not at all linked to the actual km:s you have travelled.

              In the US they started out as being directly linked to the number of miles flown but over the years that link has been broken.
