Why do we dream?

I try to think about a good topic before falling asleep...hoping to dream about it...but apparently my conscious and unconscious mind don't communicate...it never happens.

Dreams? I don't dream enough to be credible in the subject...it probably wouldn't help that well over half of them involve material of a sexual nature that would lend me a quick ticket to Mingapulco.

Its the brain concreting the information it has recently recieved or has yet to fully understand. This is how we create neural models of the world in our brain.

Horse names are no good to you though.

Once I made a small killing by betting on a horse which name popped into my head for no reason whatsoever. Too bad I didn't bet the house.

Even if it is a coincidence, I rather like having more conincidences like it.
