Ancient greek? I speak science Greek

A is for alpha, of angular shearing
B is for beta, relativistic theory
G is for gamma, a photonic emission
D is for delta a small change in position
E is for epsilon, permittivity junction
Z is for zeta, Riemmannian function

etc. too lazy to think up more rhymes.

I don't need to know how to say upsilon

Paitkiss, I think that is in modern greek, in ancient greek, the iota already does that sound.

I will give a few ancient greek words (transliterated) with upsilon in it

                      sophrsune (in my sig)
                      phulattein
                      phuton

Perhaps they thought you meant Attic as in 'roof space'?

It's pronounced as "ue", like you'd pronounce a German name like Mueller or Schuettler.
