WinMe is much more stable than Win98SE
...during the time I had WinMe, I only saw the blue screen about 50% of the times I saw it in Win98SE
...and it's much faster...
As long as WinME exists, there's no reason at all to install 98SE...This space is empty... or is it?

If you really honestly have to use a Windows 9x series OS, use 98SE. Not that I'd have used either that or ME a lot, but of all of the Windows ME boxes I remember having used extensively (for more than a couple of hours) in my life, 100% have been damned unstable and broken. Granted, there's only been one, but still, 98SE is generally considered to be much, much better than ME. Generally enough that I would definitely choose 98SE.This is Shireroth, and Giant Squid will brutally murder me if I ever remove this link from my signature | In the end it won't be love that saves us, it will be mathematics | So many people have this concept of God the Avenger. 98se.
when i first got my new computer for college, it came preinstalled with me.
i turned it on... first thing, after i get through all that "new install" bull****...
blue screen.
then it didn't boot.
so i just said **** this and installed a beta of xp.
me is like 98, only they took a chainsaw and cut off the dos part. but since chainsaws aren't particularly accurate, they also took out a lot of what made 98 more stable than me.B♭3

I've been using Win ME and no problems.
