Anyway, Rambo is not THAT bad. You can find a rather moral stance AGAINST war in it. What really disgusts me and what I would never let my kids watch are violent and jingoistic shows explicitly made for kids: GI Joe is an example from when I was little, but more modern stuff like Power Rangers and Pokemon are just as bad or worse.

It seems to me that reality TV is far more insidious than pretty much any other format on TV.

A much bigger enemy than violent movies certainly.

We are talking about "Rambo" style movies. Commando, missing in action, Generation X and so on...

I think it IS that bad for kids.

Mr.Baggins: I tend to...hmmmm...disagree. I would rather have my kid watch Joe Millionaire than Friday the 13th or Duke Nukem...or even play soldier of fortune. Violence in my mind is way worst than bltching someone behind his back.

Well.. there is a difference between fictional violence, and something that is presented AS reality.

However, the reality they present is contrived and manipulated. The genre is also vastly influential.

Its a subtle and significant intrusion.

                Rambo Rocks dude!

I like First Blood the best. Easily the best of the series. I love violence.
