Well, Halloween is not part of my cultural tradition, so I really don't care about it. But some people around here like to celebrate this holiday and I think that they are pathetic trying to imitate what comes from outside, just because it comes from outside.
Halloween turned out to be better than expected. I messed up on something, but the result turned out to be right anyway. Or should I say, better. Man, I am on a roll now! ::evil cackle::

Hello? Pope? Yeah, there's this guy, see...lives in the United States...his name is Mr. Fun. Right, Mr. Fun. No, I didn't make that up. Hallowe'en is a bit weak here in England. I kinda miss the way it's done in America and Canada.
So I got drunk and moshed until I was bruised. We all deal in our own unique ways.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

Some thugs 'from down the hill' beat up the girls across the street and took their candy. Different hoodlums beat up good friends of my ex on the other side of town. A friend had a blade pulled on him by a young boy while scaring trick or treaters in a mask and robe.
