He is a great actor though

Indeed. It's quite unlike other Al Pacino films.

I had a hard time thinking: "Godfather or scarface" Well I think they are as good, so I took scarface

The movie, I believe you are referring to is Dog Day Afternoon, he robs a bank to support his Transvestite boyfriend, or whatever it was

I also thought Carlitos Way was a decent movie..

Here is a link for his movies...

City Hall..not a bad flick either...

          Peace

              Where's Dog Day Afternoon?

Can't believe people are voting for Scent of a Woman, never saw what people saw in that one...

Nice characterisation, great details, and a character-driven story. Plus, old Al did a fine job of playing the blind retired colonel.

Jeez, what a failed list... where are "Dog Day Afternoon" and "Insomnia"? And "Frankie and Johnny" should have been there too.

Hm, on the other hand, maybe I'm talking about personal preferences here (I don't think many people would include "Frankie..." among his best movies, but I think his performance in that picture was one of the best from all his career).
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

He was great in Scent of a Woman, but I haven't seen that movie since it first came out on video. So the movie just doesn't stand out for me.

Just watched Insomnia recently. That was a pretty good movie. But still a pretty standard cop flick, nothing extraordinary to set it apart aside from the setting. So I can't call it a great film.

                                Scarface.

The Godfather (I and II) are probably better movies on an artistic level, but I enjoy watching Scarface much more. In fact I plan to do so this evening - it's definitely one of my top 10 favorite films.
