Come on, every government has had problems with the railways .. so you can hardly pin that on Blair.

Although there are a sizable quantity of people who have lost faith in Tony Blair due to Iraq, they tend to be Lefties anyway, and who they gonna vote for ??? Lib Dems or Tory .. I don't think so.

Top up fee's and private money in the public sector have created more heat than light within the Labour ranks, but I seriously don't believe they excite the voters much.

I accept, his ratings have been falling, but I do not believe that the term "Face Saving" is relevant in the situation , not like it could be used for IDS !!!!

      you'd be surprised, maybe not

the problem for Blair, imo, is his own party.

top up fees are quite an issue with students, and seeing as the tories won't put them in, i can see a lot of youngsters voting conservative on a single issue - people who wouldn't usually vote either.

The tory party is the biggest uni organisation i think...

You guys are better off with Tony. If you go with someone as liberal as Andy (quasi-socialist), you will get creamed.

Really? I thought it'd be the Large Piss-Ups Under The Pretext Of Some Silly Sport Society or possibly the Stupidly Named Drinking Society.

They are lazy bums. Why should the working man support them. Heck, you get a free education to age 18. Why should the shopclerk in Harrods pay for some kid to spend a few years at Oxbridge. If the kid wants it, he can get loans and pay for it out of future income.

                              What's all the fuss about?

The guy spends a day in hospital after under-going a very common procedure for a minor complaint and people think it's some trick so he can resign without losing face. What a crock of ****.

/me awaits the arrival of *EiF*...

Trouble is, only the Tory students would bother joining the society because the majority of the student body lazily assume that since most of them are not-Torys, the not-Torys will be more numerous and don't need them to join. And since they all assume this, they aren't.

                                Only Torys can be arsed.
