    Tony Blair hospitalised with heart irregularity

    Looks like he was treated for an irregular heartbeat after being taken ill today- now out of hospital.

    Watch for faux-concerned voices suggesting he step down for the sake of his health.

            as already said, this is the perfect opurtunity for a face saving resignation.

            Hell, he'd come out of it more popular, with a saved public image.

                        This must be a worrying time for the Blairs, especially as he came to power after the death of John Smith (who died of heart failure).

                        Its difficult to say at this moment if he will consider resigning. What I do know, is he need not resign to save any face, the guy has the respect of many, and a few raving lefties won't change that.

                        I guess it all depends on what he and his family feel is best .. I just hope he doesn't resign, he's by far the best we've got currently, and although Brown is a nice chap, I don't think he has the character that blair has.

                          the problem is, his popularity is on the wane over iraq, top up fees and a handfull of other things, and if the current railway probs on the undeground prove to be because of the privatized maintanence which he even went to court over against the mayor of london, then it is the best moment for him.
