    Che shouldn't have apologised.
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

Just because you are incapable of discussing this topic without hurling insults, doesn't mean he should sink to your level.

There is nothing to discuss. Your very interest, and indeed obsessive interest, in race issues says it all.

Its all just a crutch for the ignorant and weak minded.

Your insults are a crutch for your weak argument.

Hm, but if that becomes general praxis we would have Poly down due to pages of apologies

I made a good argument in this thread. The genetic 'race' differences are widespread within races, and concentrating on skin colour deflects from the real issue.

I was referring to Horse's argument that racial differences should never be discussed, and that if you show any interest in them you must be an ignorant, weak-minded individual.

Well he has a point, skin colour is one of the most minor genetic differences there is.

I agree with Cali on the race issue... as always.

Also, I applaud Che for his apology, that was very big of him...

Man, I want to threadjack so bad... but...

There are respected scientists on both sides of the issue. It is possible to side with the racial explanation without coming from an attitude of hate or an egotistical feeling of superiority. While I understand why most people make the assumption that someone who believes in racial differences must be hateful, I still think it's wrong. Allowing emotion to eclipse any attempt at discussion gets us nowhere.

You may be suprised to hear that I consider all races equally important when it comes to what really matters. By this I mean that all races are equally loved by God, and all have a purpose in his plan. Whether you believe in God or not, you and I can both agree that all races have value. I think we can also agree that all humans are, quite literally, brothers and sisters. Accepting this fact would do a lot more to improve race relations than pretending that group differences do not exist IMO.

                      What do you think?
I think I'd be more inclined to accept that if it weren't for the fact that you have, in the past, used a similar line to justify posting outright racist articles.

Be offended if you choose, but don't be surprised.

Don't worry Cali... Since Prop 54 didn't pass here in California we'll be able to get more data to show how inferior everyone is to everyone else...

I've used articles in the past (with regard to discussions on race) that probably were bad choices, yes, but now my position has been clarified.

Is that the one that would have stopped the collection of racial data by the govt? I was in favor of that actually.

The point I was making is that rational discussion is impossible if one side insists on insulting the other.
