And the Marlins win a close/late game again! What a clutch team this is!

thanks to Mark "Mr. Ephedra" Guthrie for giving up the winning run...

at least we can count on Prior and Wood... I hope...

Sammy surprised me. I was predicting another K or loud out, but he came through. I'm still maintaining the best thing for the Cubs would be for them to win the World Series and Sammy hitting below .200 with a ton of K's. Next year... I want Vlad in right field.

I am a Yankees fan, but I'm really hoping for a Cubs / Sox series.

          Why?

Because I want to see if it really will trigger the End Times.

No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

At the beginning of the year, there was some talk about getting Pudge here in Chicago... sigh...

He is proving just how good of a player he is. Move over Johnny Bench... I think a better catcher has been found

And to think it's not so long ago that people were saying that Pudge's career was just about done.
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

i want to see the cubs and the bosox in the world series, playing in their 1918 or 1908 uniforms.

                  at least for one game.

and then i want to see the tears of infinite sadness from bosox fans as the cubs crush the life out of them in a sweeping victory, kinda like what the yankees did to the braves a few years back.

I heard on talk radio here in Texas, that he just went where he could get more money and didn't care about winning.........

                    ops: gues they were wrong......

Cubs winning 7 to zip in the 3rd... with Prior pitching...

                      GO CUBS.

And Boston just took a lead on the Yankees.

Bah! Why do the Sox do this to us?

5-0 Bottom of the 7th. Wakefield throws 9 pitches, 8 of which are balls. Embry comes in an throws almost all balls for now. Two runs score on a double and a sac fly. There is now only 1 out with the score 5-2 and Embry still throwing mostly balls.

                                ****!
