Also, I don;t know from when you people last looked at the polls, but Lieberman does not lead any of them among democrats
Over the weekend. See, for instance, question #998 and #999 at the bottom. Lieberman outpolls the closest rival by 8 points. Sharpton outpolls Edwards.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Those polls show that a significant portion of voters feel no strong attachment to Bush: the issue for Dems is to build a strong attachment to their guys. The one thing is too many senators..senators almost never win.

Didn't you look at the poll question that I referenced? It doesn't have anything to do with Bush.

What about the Wicked Witch of Westchester?

I'd expect to see Dean to get a McCain bounce coming out of N.H.. Time will tell if he'll flame out.

For all the old-timers: How did McGovern do in the early primaries?

Also, I'm taking bets on the first guy to bite the dust. My money is on Edwards.
If you look around and think everyone else is an *******, you're the *******.

McGovern went nowhere until Muskie flamed out of the race.

Oh, and don't mention McGovern again, please.

IN the one on one match-ups he does only 1 point better than Kerry or Gephard vs Bush...

well, so Che is right, he does lead in those places not concentrating on the election..but he is way behind in raising money, so those people saying they would vote for him seem to have little interest in giving him a dime. Seems tepid support to me.

Lieberman is not raising much cash, not even from big donors, so to me his support seems tepid and weak. He is runnign a lackluster campaing based on the idea that since he is the most conservative Dem, he has the rgeater chance of winning: well, again, Gore did not campaing as a conservative Dem and he won the popular vote.

Kerry and Dean both have much more passionate support, though the thing about Senators follows Kerry.

I agree. Lieberman's polling high because of name recognition. He'll drop after the first primaries and caucuses.

According to Zogby, Dean has the highest plurality nationally. He's also the front runner in Iowa and NH by a large margin. And he's second in SC, oddly enough (1% below Edwards).
