    • Maybe, maybe not. We shall see. Curious though that so many Republicans want to see Bustamonte become governor.

      • Does anyone have the latest poll numbers in this race?

"Curious though that so many Republicans want to see Bustamonte become governor."

Well, if Bustamante does as bad a job as Davis does, the Californian's voter anger could become generalized, expanding from just Davis to the Democratic party as a poll, helping out the GOP in the 2004 elections. ANd while it is unlikely Bush would win in California, it could certainly help for Congressional races.

        • One of the counties was Fresno county, the county I vote in... We have never had a realized problem with the counting of vote. I think the whole state decission was due to San Francisco Fvcking up their counts...

          • Last I heard Bustamonte was ahead of Arnie by 3% which was with in the margin of error. McClintock has something like 15% and nearly all of the 15% would vote for Arnie if McCintock pulled out of the race.

It seems the poor to decid the winner will fall to McCintock. If he stays in the race then it's likely Bustamonte will win and if he leaves the race it is almost certain Arnie will win.

You think the US Supreme Court will hear the case? I dont think they would, even if the recall was delayed.

              • I should have figured that, like the title, this thread would linger.

                • Just to clarify my balet... I vote Yes on the recall and then I vote for my top 3 picks of whom I want to see replace Davis? Then I send it in by Halloween? What about those propositions? What do the numbers mean? What are minorities? Why are the holes so tiny? Do I punch out the ones I don't want to win or do I leave those in? Why aren't the canidates in alphabetical order? Can I just circle my selections with a pen? When they say recall do they mean remove or call him back, if the later why are we voting on this?

                  Oh, wait, it says "remove"...

I messed up, can I have another?

                  • I haven't read the unanimous opinion, but new report says it was centered on the balance of harm issues involved in a preliminary injunction, saying the harm to voters using punch cards was speculative while the harm to the people of California in a delay was significant and non speculative.

This is consistent with my views on this issue I expressed earlier - that the 3-liberal-judge panel got the balance of harm issue backwards.

This also confirms that liberal judges are a positive danger to democracy. Hopefully this unanimous reversal will halt the power-grab of the hard left.
